Every year the NPC widens its scope, supporting and providing for the diverse melting pot of established and burgeoning poetry communities across the UK and beyond. The 2008 competition is now open for entries, so discover your potential!

The 2008 FYP competition is now open for entries! You can find out more about the competition here, and remember the competition closes on July 31st.

Last year we recieved over 4,500 of your poems, and the quality of the work prompted Jo Shapcott, one of the 2007 judges with Daljit Nagra, to say "Britain is in safe hands with this upcoming generation of poets".
RISE Londonwide Youth Slam Championship

The RISE Slam gives Young Londoners between the ages 12 and 18 the chance to perform in venues around the capital.
The Slam showcases the passionate and sometimes biographical narratives of Young London, delivered with intelligence, street-smart wit, and originality you won't hear anywhere else.
