A late night launch of the latest London Transport Museum exhibition ‘Sounds of the City’ – a celebration of the urban sounds, music and noises found in our vibrant UK cities. Discover the many different visual interpretations of this exciting theme in the artworks; from quiet places of solitude to iconic music venues and the science of linguistics to radio broadcasting.
Listen to talks about the lost sounds of London past, the history and significance of street ‘cryers’ and the use of sound to influence design. A range of interactive workshops and activities will also be on offer, including free form painting to music, mini tours of our new exhibition, and an intimate themed poetry reading with John Canfield.
