The 2015 National Poetry Competition winner Eric Berlin, who has just completed a mini UK tour reading at events including Poetry in Aldeburgh and Liverpool’s Bluecoat, has been shortlisted for the Manchester Poetry Prize alongside five other poets. The prize was founded by Carol Ann Duffy and the winners of the poetry and fiction prizes take away £10,000. They are announced at a gala ceremony on 25 November. If you’d like to attend the ceremony in the Baronial Hall at Chetham’s Library in Manchester, tickets are free and can be reserved online.
Congratulations, and good luck, to all the shortlisted poets: Eric Berlin, Dante de Stefano, Sakinah Hofler, Rebecca Tamás, former Foyle Young Poet Ruth Tang and Eoghan Walls.
