In memoriam: Sarah Maguire

The Poetry Society is very sad to hear the news that Sarah Maguire has died. As the visionary founder and artistic director of the Poetry Translation Centre, she opened up the conversation about how contemporary poetry translation is defined in the UK; and as a poet, her unique combination of lyrical and political sensibility won her a critical and popular readership. She will be greatly missed by all her readers, colleagues and friends.

You can listen to some of her poems at the Poetry Archive.
