Mark Fiddes wins Dromineer Lit Fest Poetry Competition

‘Ex.’ by Poetry Society Member Mark Fiddes (London) has won the 2015 Dromineer Literary Festival Poetry Competition, judged by Thomas McCarthy. It’s been a very successful year for Mark, with commendations in the Four Corners and Stoke Poges poetry competitions. His first collection The Chelsea Flower Show Massacre was launched by Templar Poetry this April at Keats House as winner of their annual pamphlet competition. It has since become poetry book of the month and was shortlisted in the UK Saboteur Award. A full collection will be published by Templar in Spring 2016.

2nd is Mari Maxwell, Galway. 3rd is Stephanie Conn, by Stephanie Conn, County Antrim. Two poets were highly commended:  Brendan Carey Kinane, and John Harris.
