An evening dedicated to exploring how one’s own fate may be surprisingly different from one’s own personal expectations and hopes.
‘Magellan’ is an original theatre and music production dedicated to Ferdinand Magellan and his epic expedition that resulted in the first complete circumnavigation of the Earth. The occasion is the 500th year of his departure from Spain on September 20th 1519. Magellan never returned to Spain as he was killed during his trip a couple of years later in the Philippines, leaving behind his wife and two children. This production is a commemoration of him as a pioneer who left his life behind in order to fulfil his destiny.
