Friday 8 February 2019, 7:00 pm10:00 pm

The Poetry Society is pleased to bring poetry to an excitingly colourful programme at the ‘Friday Late: London Love Stories’ event at the London Transport Museum, an evening that coincides with the museum’s latest exhibition Poster Prize for Illustration: London Stories – a collection of remarkable personal illustrations, each capturing a different story inspired by life in, and love of, London.

Among the many workshops and performances on offer, head over to the vintage tube carriage to join poet Ella Frears on an intoxicating voyage of verse themed around London and love.

Ella Frears is a poet and visual artist based in London. Her pamphlet, Passivity, Electricity, Acclivity is out with Goldsmiths Press. She’s had poems in the LRB, Poetry London, Ambit, and The Rialto among others and was a finalist for the Arts Foundation Fellowship in Poetry. She’s completed residencies for the National Trust, Tate Britain, K6 Gallery and Royal Holloway University. Her collaborative installation ‘The Six Pillars of Modernism’, was exhibited at Tate St.Ives.
