National Poetry Day Live

National Poetry Day Live is back for a free afternoon and evening of poetry in the newly reopened Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer.

Schools Event from 1pm

Calling all 11- to 18-year-olds: this afternoon of poetry showcases radical poetry, looking at this year’s National Poetry Day theme of ‘change’. Join the poets that are bringing about shifts in culture and society through their work and inspiring generations of young poets, including Young People’s Laureate for London, Momtaza Mehri; Raymond Antrobus; Joelle Taylor and Anthony Anaxagorou.

Evening Event from 5pm

Hear the poets that are bringing about shifts in culture and society through their work and inspiring generations of young poets, including Anthony Anaxagorou, Caroline Bird, Zaffar Kunial and Hannah Lowe. We’ll also be hearing from Foyle Young Poets Ella Standage, Em Power and Annie Fan.
