POETRY LAUNCH EVENT – Three collections and a pamphlet

Thursday 28 February 2019, 7:30 pm10:00 pm

Four members of Poetry Teignmouth have recently been published by Indigo Dreams, the award winning publisher from Devon.
Sheila Aldous’ collection “Paper Boats, The Burning of Teignmouth and Shaldon, 1690” is inspired by a real event – the last invasion on English soil. This event is told from the viewpoint of modern people today, of those who lived through the destruction in 1690, and of their emotions and relationships with the natural world.
Veronica Aaronson’s collection “Nothing About the Birds is Ordinary this Morning” emphasises the importance of connecting with and appreciating nature to better understand ourselves.
Helen Boyles’ most recent collection “Transitions” explores movement and change in the natural world, human lives and history.
Graham Burchell offers a slant view of his experiences in Australia in his pamphlet “Breakfast Under a Yellow-Bellied Sun”
