Roz runs one-hour sessions in a lovely room at Birmingham Buddhist Centre, 11 Park Road, Moseley, B13 8AB. Easy to get to and, if it’s good weather, you might end up in the wonderful garden!

Once you’ve booked, and a few weeks before your session, we’ll send you Roz’s contact details so that you can email up to 6 poems, or 150 lines maximum. During your meeting, you will have opportunities to discuss strategies for further developing your writing, problems you may be experiencing, and ways to take your work forward. There will be plenty of time to talk about all those things you need to know about writing, revising and submitting your work.


Roz Goddard is a former poet laureate of Birmingham and has published five collections of poetry, the most recent Spill was published by Flarestack Poets in February 2018. The Sopranos Sonnets and Other Poems (Nine Arches Press) featured on BBC Radio 3’s The Verb. She won The New Welsh Review‘s inaugural micro fiction competition in 2014 and the Interpreter’s House poetry competition in 2015. Her poetry has been shortlisted and commended for the Bridport Poetry Prize, Manchester Cathedral Poetry Competition and the Bristol Poetry Prize. www.rozgoddard.com
