This is the launch event for The Poetry Society’s new upcoming exhibition, Temporary Spaces. The exhibition and launch event are curated by Astra Papachristodoulou from Poem Atlas in collaboration with Nic Stringer from Corrupted Poetry.

Temporary Spaces showcases works that merge poetry and visual art from some of the most exciting contemporary poets in the UK right now. Contributing artists and poets include Sarah Dawson, Matt Martin, Stephen Mooney, Silje Ree, Claire Collison, Paul Hawkins, Stephen Emmerson, James Knight, Michelle Penn, Simon Tyrrell, Nic Stringer and Astra Papachristodoulou. The visual poems in the exhibition explore object and time. Many of the works will be available to purchase.

The main exhibition runs from 20th January until 22nd February, with a special opening event on the 29th January featuring music and performances from some of the contributing poets involved in the show. The opening event will be free to attend with a suggested donation of £3 and a unique exhibition catalogue available to purchase on the night.
