CANCELLED – Women’s History Month Conference

Sunday 29 March 2020, 1:00 pm4:00 pm

Our event is about the impact that women have had in the stand against social injustice and the work that has been done in the social justice and humanitarian space.

The event will use the inspirational examples of the women that played a crucial role in the mission of Hussain ibn Ali and his stand against oppression. The women who raised him, influenced him and carried on his mission after he gave the ultimate sacrifice, namely his mother, Lady Fatema, and his sister, Lady Zainab.

The event aims to provide a practical takeaway centred around making a difference in the community/society.

We have speakers Zahra Al-Alawi who will discuss the impact and role of Lady Zainab and Lady Fatema in the historic fight against injustice, as well as Emma Clune and Esmat Jeraj who will talk about empowerment and discuss the challenges faced today and the impact that women have had in the humanitarian and social justice space.

Proceeds will be going to Women’s Aid Charity.

Suitable for all ages.
