Writing for Resilience – Poetry Therapy Workshop

Resilience is essentially about how we bounce back from stressful situations without experiencing long term adverse effects.
  • Do you want to make good use of the skills you used during tough times?
  • Do you want to keep your roads clear?
  • Do you want to tackle challenges more effectively?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions, and you want to build a personal strategy for resilience, then this workshop is for you.
Come and join me in this experiential and interactive workshop you will have an opportunity to examine new ways to boost your resilience. I will use inspirational poems as a springboard for writing, reflection and dialogue.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for anyone who wants to be more resilient, who enjoys working with metaphors, journaling, writing for personal development or professional development, or who is interested in using therapeutic writing in their work.
No prior knowledge of poetry or expressive writing is required, just a willingness to share, reflect and experiment with words in a supportive environment.
Please bring a notebook and something to write with.
***A section of this workshop will be video recorded as part of a research study by Canterbury Christ Church University. Further information will be provided and written consent sought, should you wish to participate in the study. ***
