Setting up a Stanza

Stanza groups receive the following –

  • Start-up information, including an introductory email to Poetry Society members in your region
  • Opportunity to take part in the annual Stanza Competition (exclusive to Stanza members who are also members of The Poetry Society)
  • Invitations to take part in Stanza-specific readings, events and activities organised by The Poetry Society
  • Opportunities to network with other Stanza groups around the country, globally and online
  • Invitations to submit information about group members’ projects and successes to Poetry News, our members’ magazine

How to register a new Stanza

If you have an existing poetry group you’d like to register as a Stanza, let us know the group’s details (contact name and email of the Poetry Society member who will become the Stanza Rep, proposed times and dates of your meetings, your geographical or online location, any particular focus of your meetings) and we’ll let you know the next steps.

Likewise, if you’ve got an idea for a new online group, or you and few like-minded poetry friends would like to establish a local group, we can help you get set up.

Contact us on [email protected] to register or with any queries.
