Judith Palmer, director of The Poetry Society will feature on the panel at the opening event of the 2021 Belfast Book Festival. The event, to be held at 4pm on Thursday 10 June, will be an online poetry panel discussion, addressing issues affecting poets and the spoken word community.
The ‘Poetry in Focus’ panel discussion will be led by chair Martin Doyle, books editor of The Irish Times, and also include Niamh O’Donnell, Director of Poetry Ireland, poet Maria McManus, poet and fiction writer John Walsh, and Manuela Moser, currently the Publishing Fellow at the Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen’s University Belfast. There will be an opportunity for audience to ask questions as part of this event.
The Belfast Book Festival runs from 10-13 June with a programme of live online events.
