Poetry Re-viewed

5 February 2018 – 16 March 2018

The Middlesex University Illustration degree is proud to present ‘Poetry Re-viewed’, a selection of work by BA Hons students inspired by the poems in the winter issue of The Poetry Review.

For over a century The Poetry Review, published quarterly by The Poetry Society, has been home to the world’s best poetry by internationally renowned and newly emerging writers, by newcomers and Nobel Prize winners. This exhibition pairs them with talented young illustrators who have created personal and subjective responses to their words, resulting in a diverse, vibrant exhibition.

‘Poetry Re-viewed’ is the latest in a series of Poetry Society collaborations with Middlesex University staff and students. Previous exhibitions include: ‘Louts, Love & London’, ‘New Types of Shakespeare’, ‘Beginnings and Endings’, ‘Slow Show’, ‘War Stories’, ‘Happy Birthday Edward Lear’ (which toured nationwide) and ‘Haunts of the Poets’.

‘Poetry Re-viewed’, presented by Middlesex University and The Poetry Society, is at The Poetry Café, 22 Betterton Street, London WC2H 9BX, 5 February – 16 March 2018. All works are for sale; proceeds go towards the students’ final degree show. The opening event was held on Wednesday 7 February 2018.
