A B Jackson

A.B. runs one-hour sessions at 10am, 11am, 12.45pm, 1.45pm and 3pm – Friends Meeting House, 12 Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BA. Nice discount for Poetry Society Members – £60. £70 for non-members.

Once you’ve booked, and a few weeks before your session, we’ll send you A.B’s contact details so that you can email up to 6 poems, or 150 lines maximum. During your meeting, you will have opportunities to discuss strategies for further developing your writing, problems you may be experiencing, and ways to take your work forward. There will be plenty of time to talk about all those things you need to know about writing, revising and submitting your work.

A.B. Jackson’s first book, Fire Stations (Anvil), won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2003. A limited edition pamphlet, Apocrypha (Donut Press), was published in 2011 and was the Poetry Book Society’s pamphlet Choice for summer 2011. His second full-length collection, The Wilderness Party (Bloodaxe Books, 2015) is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. In 2010 he won first prize in the Edwin Morgan International Poetry Competition. He has a PhD in Creative Writing from Sheffield Hallam University, and is currently a co-selector for the Poetry Book Society’s quarterly pamphlet Choice.
