Individual posters from Poems on the Underground (104) – set of six posters
A new set of Poems on the Underground will be posted in tube trains on 10 February 2020 for four weeks. The poems, serious and humorous, touch on themes of love, nature, youth and age, and the changing seasons, as the dark days of February give way to early signs of spring. The poems are:
Honesty, from ‘Talking to the Weeds’, by Kit Wright
The Gulls by Jacob Polley
Prayer for My Father as a Child by Miriam Nash
Sonnet 98 (‘From you I have been absent in the spring’) by William Shakespeare
Fear by Ciaran Carson
Perseverance by Marin Sorescu, translated by D.J. Enright
The posters are designed by Tom Davidson.
